Tucked away just behind the hustle of Venice Avenue is a spot that feels like a local secret…Devine’s Wine Bar. Devine’s was actually the first wine bar we visited in Venice way back when…and it’s one that you have to visit if you haven’t already!
It’s the perfect location if you’re downtown for dinner, or heading over to the Venice Theater, and they offer a ton of great events. We’ve been to wine bingo (offered every Monday – SO MUCH FUN!) and also recently attended their Peju tasting. If you enjoy wine and are in (or near) Venice, then you have to know Devine’s!

Ambiance at Devine’s Wine Bar
Devine’s is an unassuming spot where you can always find a friendly face. Whether it’s another wine lover, or Tom the owner, it’s easy to slide right into a seat and enjoy a glass of vino (or a bottle from their very well-curated list!).
We love the location – just off 41, between Miami Avenue and Venice Avenue, it’s truly the perfectly convenient spot. They even have their own parking lot if you are lucky enough to snag a spot.

Why Visit
- The folks are as friendly as the wine is good.
- Devine’s doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard. It’s just good wine, good people, and a good time.
- You know we always love it when the owners are around and have such great experience with wines. 🥰
- The bottle list is not one to miss. From approachable favorites to more unique finds from Lail, Terrenoble, and others, you’re sure to find a bottle worth sharing (or not – we don’t judge!). 🍷
🏝️ Our Venice Wine Spot Wednesday Experience at Devine’s
Recently we visited for a Peju tasting with Colby from Maverick Wines. Although I may have nearly face-planted into the bar while gracefully (?) claiming my seat, we still had a great evening with the Devine’s team and the rest of the wine lovers in attendance.
We’d had Peju before, and even attempted to visit the winery during one of our trips (except SOME WINE LOVER may have fallen asleep in the car 🤷🏻♀️), so it was a fun tasting. The Cab Franc was the winner for both of us, and our neighbors at the bar said the same. It was full-bodied, with ripe red fruit and a really interesting cedar note. It was smooth and had just enough earthiness to make it very interesting. It would be the perfect bottle shared with friends at sunset on the Service Club Beach!
🍷 Our Final Pour Wrap Up
Don’t sleep on Devine’s. It may be tucked away, but the wine list is well-curated and the vibe is perfectly Venice – chill, local, and welcoming. Whether you’re a Cab Franc fan or just looking for a fun Monday night of Wine Bingo, this spot should be on your must-visit list!
You can find other great spots in our Local Guide to Wine Spots, but if downtown Venice is your ‘hood, check out Octovino and Venice Wine & Coffee.
