No matter whether you’re strolling in from Venice Beach or admiring the banyans along Venice Ave, finding the perfect pour in our little corner of paradise shouldn’t be left to chance.
This week, we’re introducing you to a local favorite: Venice Wine & Coffee Company.
Welcome to Wine Spot Wednesday—your weekly insider guide to the most relaxed, refined, and quietly remarkable wine spots in Venice, Florida and the surrounding area. Think of us as your wine-loving neighbors, helping you discover where great bottles meet that perfect Gulf Coast ease. (Be sure to check out our other Wine Spot Wednesdays here.)
So grab a glass and come along for this week’s pick. 🍷

Quick Facts:
- Location: Right on Venice Ave, with a convenient side entrance on Nokomis Avenue directly into the wine bar
- Details: Check their website for hours, etc
- The Vibe: Comfortable, friendly, and unpretentious
- Food: Light fare during the day; snacks available in the evening
- Specialty: Sip, browse, and enjoy—arrive early to chat with Rich to find the perfect bottle to take home, then settle in with Dave at the bar for a great pour 🍷
Ambiance:
We’ve featured Venice Wine & Coffee Company before—but it’s worth repeating.
This charming spot is tucked into the back of a retail shop filled with thoughtfully curated wines, gourmet snacks, and gift items (including build-your-own baskets that make perfect hostess gifts).
Wander through the shop—or slip in through the side entrance—and you’ll find a cozy wine bar with a welcoming energy and a rotating list of wines by the glass (or get a specialty coffee drink if that’s your preference!).
One of my longtime favorites is the Perelada Rosé Brut Cava—a crisp, refreshing go-to after a hot Venice afternoon—but we’ve also discovered some standout South American reds here. The selection is well curated, changes regularly, and the team is always happy to open a bottle from the shop for you to enjoy on-site.
Why Visit:
- Warm, friendly atmosphere with familiar faces
- A thoughtfully curated and ever-changing wine list
- Coffee and tea options—perfect for designated drivers
- A retail shop stocked with unique finds and great recommendations
- Ideal location for a pre- or post-dinner stop
- Open early in the day for coffee (and yes… wine if you’re feeling it! 🥂)
- Indoor and outdoor seating options

🏝️ Our Venice Wine Spot Wednesday Experience
We love stopping in to chat with Rich in the shop—he always has a great recommendation (and usually a great story to go with it).
Then it’s back to the bar, where Dave takes over in the evening. He consistently delivers the perfect pour.
We’ve also attended a few of their tastings, including a recent event featuring Bacio Divino Cellars with Kyle Janzen. We tasted:
- 2022 Lucie Chardonnay
- 2021 Cloudy’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
- 2021 Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Cabernet Sauvignon
- 2021 Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon

Tastings here feel perfectly 🏝️ Venice – relaxed, social, and unstructured in the best way. No rigid format…just great wine, easy conversation, and a chance to discover something new.
(And yes, we may have added a few bottles to our cellar…)
🍷 Our Final Pour Wrap Up
Venice Wine & Coffee Company is a go-to spot any time of day. Whether you’re in the mood for coffee, a casual glass of wine, or a new bottle to take home, it delivers with charm and consistency.
It’s everything we love about sipping local in our “City on the Gulf.”
Check back next week for another Wine Spot Wednesday you won’t want to miss. 🥂 (And if “wining” in downtown Venice if your thing, check out last week’s post about Octovino! When Venice Wine and Coffee closes for the evening, you can stroll 2 blocks and wrap up the night at Octovino!)
Have you been to Venice Wine and Coffee yet? Did you start with coffee… or go straight for the wine? Let us know in the comments! 🍷
