We created Venice Wine Experiences because we are deeply rooted in the Southwest Florida lifestyle, we adore the vibrant Venice community, and we live for the joy of wine. From discovering standout wine lists at local independent restaurants to uncorking a favorite bottle on the lanai at sunset, we believe that wine is best enjoyed without pretense, but with plenty of style.
We are the kind of people who read the wine list before the dinner menu, linger over a great glass with old friends, and savor every opportunity to learn something new. Whether we are exploring a local boutique wine shop or testing an exciting cellar gadget that makes the hobby more accessible, we are always hunting for the next great sip.
From the Gulf Coast to Global Vineyards
When we aren’t exploring the local scene, we travel. Each year, we make our annual pilgrimage to Napa Valley to taste the latest releases and discover new spots. But our wine journey takes us far beyond domestic borders. We have spent years researching and traveling through iconic global regions—from the historic hills of Italy to the dramatic, high-altitude vineyards of Chile and Argentina.
We do an immense amount of firsthand research so you don’t have to. Think of us as your knowledgeable, wine-loving neighbors showing you the absolute best bottles, pairings, and wine experiences that Southwest Florida and the wider wine world have to offer.
Meet Us!
- The Creator & Content Strategist: A technology solutions engineer by day, a dedicated wine student by night, and your resident Wine Lover. As the founder, she handles the strategic vision of the blog and is WSET Level 1 certified. She is actively pursuing additional wine education to bring deep, structured knowledge to every article. Her palate heavily favors bold, aromatic red varietals – specifically Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Carménère.
- The Collaborator & Photographer: The ultimate Partner in Wine. An IT Manager by profession, he holds a formal WSET Level 2 Award in Wines with Distinction and is actively working on Level 3. He keeps our technical logistics seamless, acts as the primary palate collaborator, and captures the beautiful lifestyle imagery featured across the site (the wine lover takes the not-so-great pics you might find!). He’s all about the 100% Petit Verdot, but has never met a wine in which he can’t find something he likes.
