We’re two wine lovers based in Venice, Florida, who enjoy discovering the people, places, and stories that make wine so interesting.
Some days that means exploring a local wine bar. Other days it’s walking through a vineyard, meeting a winemaker, or opening something special with friends at home.
Through Venice Wine Experiences, we share what we’ve learned and enjoyed—and hope to inspire your next wine experience, too.
Curiosity, connections and a great glass of wine
We created VWE to make local wine experiences easier to discover and wine exploration a little more approachable. We’re not interested in ratings or telling anyone what they should like. We’re interested in sharing genuine experiences, from independent local places to family-run vineyards farther from home.
Meet Sara and Todd
We’re Sara and Todd, the couple behind Venice Wine Experiences. We share a love of good wine, discovering new places, and getting to know the people who make wine so interesting. We each bring something different to VWE, and exploring it all together is half the fun.
Sara
Sara is the researcher, writer, and storyteller behind much of VWE’s content. With WSET Level 1 wine education and a love for Cabernet Franc and Carménère, she’s always curious about what makes a wine—and a wine experience—worth exploring.
Todd
Todd brings the technical details, photography, and another curious palate to VWE. He holds the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines with Distinction. His favorite grape variety is Petit Verdot, though he can find something to appreciate in just about every wine he tastes.
From Southwest Florida to wine regions around the world
We love sharing wine spots, tastings and dinners around Venice, Wellen Park, Englewood, Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch. We also travel to wine regions such as Napa Valley, Mendoza, Chile’s Colchagua Valley and Ohio’s Grand River Valley, where firsthand visits help us tell richer stories.
