We’ve had Acqua Pazza on our Wine Spot Wednesday list for a while. Located right in Downtown Wellen Park, it combines a cool, coastal setting with modern Italian food, a comfortable bar, and a wine list with a few Italian selections worth seeking out.
Our most recent visit was on a busy Friday evening, with live music outside, a beautiful sunset, and a couple of nice sips — just the kind of Florida Friday we love. And after a couple of visits (and more than one order of the artichokes), we figured it was time to share.
Quick Facts
Location: Downtown Wellen Park
Website: Acqua Pazza
Vibe: Cool and coastal. Beautiful colors, fabrics, and tile create a modern, inviting space.
Food: Italian with a modern twist. Beautiful salads and small plates in addition to the classics.

Why Visit
- The location. It’s right in Downtown Wellen Park — convenient for a bite before a concert or meeting up with friends.
- The small plates. They make it easy to put together a lighter meal alongside a glass of wine. We’ve enjoyed everything we’ve tried, but the small plates are our favorite way to order. (And try the artichokes — you’ll thank us!)
- The bar. It’s not huge, but it’s comfortable, relaxed, and an easy place to settle in for a bite and a sip.

The wine list at Acqua Pazza
Our Experience
We’ve been to Acqua Pazza a couple of times now. Even on a busy Friday night, we lucked into two seats at the bar with no wait. The bar is relaxed and comfortable, and the service has been stellar on both visits.
The wine list includes plenty of familiar names, but there are a few more interesting choices tucked in, too. By the glass, the Viberti Unoaked Chardonnay from Piemonte and Gabbiano Chianti Classico Riserva caught our attention. We tend to gravitate toward wines from the same part of the world as the food we’re eating, and both give you an Italian option that goes beyond some of the more familiar labels on the list.
🍷 Tip: If you’re stopping in for a glass and a few small plates, we like the bar — especially if you can snag a couple of seats on a busy Wellen Park evening.

The Final Pour
Acqua Pazza is one of those Wellen Park spots that works for a lot of occasions — live music, a casual bite, dinner with friends, or, in our case, yet another order of those AMAZING artichokes. With several Italian wine choices alongside familiar favorites, there’s plenty to choose from whether you’re settling in for dinner or just stopping by for a glass and a bite.
